Our servers utilize the MySQL database, so if you have cgi application that can interface with a MySQL, this will greatly enhance the speed, performance and reliability of your application. A common example is a message forum system, like VBulletin, or YABB which use MySQL to hold all of the forum data, like posted messages, user profiles, and color and appearance settings. This greatly improves the speed and efficiency of your bulletin board application.

If you decide that you'd like to use a MySQL database, you can contact support and request to have a database created. You'll receive an e-mail with all of the information you need to begin using your database. Unfortunately for security reasons, we do not provide a utility that allows you to create your own databases, but once your database is created and active, you'll have full authority over your database settings.

Any disk space used by databases is counted towards your total allowable disk space.
